World-Wide-Web pages via e-mail
-------------------------------
Fortunately for our colleagues with e-mail connection only
HealthNet/SatelLife has established a free 'GetWeb MailBot' service, which
means anyone with an e-mail programme can download documents from the World
Wide Web by sending a message to:
getweb@usa.healthnet.org
Type the following commands only in the text of your message: (leave the
'Subject' line empty)
get <URL>
end
(where <URL> [Uniform Resource Locator] should be replaced by the desired
World Wide Web address).
For example, you can retrieve AFRO-NETS' home page by sending this simple
message:
To: getweb@usa.healthnet.org
Subject: <leave blank>
get http://www.healthnet.org/afronets/index.html
end
You will receive via e-mail the following type of message which is a plain
text (ASCII) copy of the AFRO-NETS home page:

Links to other pages, other servers (ftp, gopher, etc.) are numbered in
square brackets [ ] and summarised with their respective URL at the end of
the document. You can again send a message to 'getweb@usa.healthnet.org' to
retrieve them in the same way.
Good luck.
