Allergic to male condoms

Hi everyone,

I need help for a lady who is living with HIV, whose husband is allergic 
to male condoms. Besides abstinence what other method can she use?

I wondered wherther the female condom could be tried on her although she 
is in a place where they are not available.

Would be grateful for alternative safe sex method.
