Application of Telemedicine in Paediatrics

This presentation and demonstration provides an overview of Children's 
National Medical Center's Telemedicine Program and how it is being ap-
plied to improve access to health care and education in paediatric 
medicine.

Through sample applications in neonatalogy, orthopedics, radiology, 
cardiology and primary care, we will demonstrate and describe our expe-
riences as to how this technology can improve access to quality care, 
extend the geographic footprint of the care providers, and reduce cost.

We also discuss the barriers we face moving forward and how best to 
meet these challenges.
