Supercourse Update - March 1999
-------------------------------

www.pitt.edu/~super1/

Dear Friends,

this message covers the following topics:
1. Having the copy of the Supercourse at your facility (mirror)
2. New Lectures

1. Supercourse mirror

Last November we announced that any facility may have the complete copy
of the Supercourse in order to improve the access time to the Super-
course. In response to the message, ministries of health in China and
Cuba, public health and medical schools in Argentina, Brazil, Germany,
Hong Kong, Israel, Norway, Peru, Poland, UK, and USA now have the copy
of the Supercourse. Most of them reported that the access time improved
dramatically.

We are ready to distribute the copy of the Supercourse (March 1999 ver-
sion) now. You can download the whole Supercourse (total size less
than 10MB) from our server. It is an archived file. What you need to do
is just unzip it. It runs on UNIX, Windows, etc. No special software is
required. If your facility is interested in having the copy of the Su-
percourse, please contact Akira:
mailto:akira+@pitt.edu

Our goal in the next two years is to distribute the copy of the Super-
course to the computers in every medical school around the world. We
are starting first with Argentina (as we plan to distribute the copy in
all medical schools in the Americas), and China. Please let us know if
you would like to join this effort.
