The latest issue of Wellcome News, the Wellcome Trust's free quarterly 
publication containing news and articles relating to the world of medi-
cal science is now available.

Of particular relevance are the special features in this issue that 
look at the progress that has been made since the Multilateral Initia-
tive on Malaria was established and whether pregnant women have a 
higher risk of contracting malaria than their non-pregnant sisters. 
Further tropical medicine articles will also appear in future issues of 
Wellcome News

Wellcome News was established five years ago to meet the growing need 
for up-to-date information on medical research and funding news. Over
