BSP Malaria Meeting: Call for Abstracts

11th Malaria Meeting
British Society for Parasitology
Imperial College of Science, Technology and Medicine
September 20th-22nd, 1999
London, UK

This year's Malaria Meeting will be organised at Imperial College, Lon-
don. The meeting will take place in the new Sir Alexander Fleming
Building. A welcome reception will be organised on Sunday evening 19th
September and the conference is planned to start on Monday morning and
end on Wednesday around lunchtime. We hope that every malariologist
will have the opportunity to attend the meeting.

The deadline for abstract submission is June 28th 1999.

At the beginning of July, the registration forms will be sent to you
and the deadline for registration will be August 15th. Information
about the meeting will be published on the BSP web pages:

Abstract submissions by e-mail is preferred. Please send the abstracts
to:
<a.beetsma@ic.ac.uk> or <r.spaccapelo@ic.ac.uk>

The abstract should not be longer than 200 words including the title.
There is no specific abstract format, but all contributors are re-
quested to include the following information with their abstract:
- full name and place(s) of research of all authors,
- the addresses of all authors including telephone and fax numbers, and
- e-mail address if available.

Please indicate which author will be making the presentation, whether
you will prefer to give it orally or as a poster. There are seven
themed scientific sessions organised. Please indicate whether you have
a preference for any of the scientific sessions given below:

- Genomics "afterlife"
- Molecular cell biology
- Immunological bases for logical vaccine design
- Malaria as a selective force "Haldane revisited"
- Drug treatment, trials and future concepts
- Current issues in anti-vector intervention strategies
- The role of GIS in malaria research control
- Roll back malaria
