RFI: Treatment for Lymphatic Filariasis (3)
-------------------------------------------

I am assuming you have lymphatic oedema of the leg amounting to un-
sightly enlargement and have been medically treated for the filaria in-
fection.

In the old textbook 'Companion to Surgery in Africa' there is a method
described for stripping off the redundant subcutaneous tissue and re-
suturing the skin flap. I have never seen it done and don't know how
successful it normally is, but it is worth further exploration.
