Conference on Poverty and Inequity

Last October, this forum announced the following conference taking 
place in South Africa in February:

The Challenges for Public Health in Southern Africa
24-25 February, 2000
Regent Hotel Conference Centre
East London, Eastern Cape
South Africa

We would be very interested to hear from you if you intend to attend 
this conference, and could provide a short report of the session on:
- HIV/AIDS and TB

or the pre-conference workshop on:
- Gender Poverty and Health: Experiences and Lessons.

It is bordering on the immoral that so many of these conferences come 
and go (at great expense), and apart from the personal notes partici-
pants take away in their notebooks, we largely 'lose' the proceedings 
and collective experiences - especially when so many interested peo-
ple cannot participate.

So let's try.....

Is there somebody out there, with relevant understanding and writing 
ability, who is prepared to take a short while to write an outline of 
these two conference sessions in February? In return we can make sure 
your reports are shared among thousands of interested people world-
wide, and there is a good chance that they will be picked up by sec-
ondary forums, newsletters and other publications.
