Announcement of New Publication - Children's Health in Emergencies
------------------------------------------------------------------
Children's Health in Emergencies: practical guidelines for health
workers
Produced as a special supplement to Healthlink Worldwide's popular
international newsletter Child Health Dialogue, this publication will
provide a unique audience of mainly indigenous health and development
workers with up-to-date, practical information on appropriate poli-
cies and procedures to follow in the event of an emergency occurring
in their area. Written in clear, easy to understand language, it ex-
plains what health workers can do in the early stages of an emer-
gency, how management and prevention of childhood illnesses such as
diarrhoea and malaria differs in emergency situations, and how they
can work with communities and other organisations.
Single copies are free to indigenous organisations in developing
countries. For others the cost is GBP 2.50/US$ 5.00 and includes
postage. Bulk copies are also available free to organisations that
are able to distribute the publication through their own channels.
