HIV testing without treatment? (20)

Counselling is a crucial part of getting people to reduce the risk of
becoming infected with HIV. There has to be a pre-test as well as a
post-test counselling session, in which a risk reduction plan is sug-
gested to the client, no matter what the test outcome may be. We are
all aware that so far the only effective way we have to reduce infec-
tion (and re-infection) is through education. Information is a power-
ful weapon.
