Summer School in International Human Rights Law

1-28 July 2001
New College, Oxford, UK

A four-week course is offered in Oxford on the philosophy, history,
doctrine and practice of international human rights law.

In addition to an introductory course on the Fundamentals of Human
Rights Law, the Programme offers an advanced seminar of Human Rights
Lawyering and afternoon electives that address important contemporary
issues in the field. These include seminars on human rights and em-
ployment issues and corporate law, the predicament of populations at
heightened risk of human rights violations (including women, minori-
ties and refugees) and an introductory seminar on Human Rights Advo-
cacy and Dissemination.

The Programme welcomes law students with a demonstrated interest in
human rights, graduate students, lawyers and other professionals in
the field.
