Subject: RFI: Quinine Resistance - Ifakara, Tanzania

Have you thought of using mefloquine for treatment? There is sig-
nificant Fansidar resistance in Southern Africa, and I expect the
position would be little different in East Africa.

The emergence of quinine resistance is very worrying. How extensive
is this problem?
