HUSITA6 will highlight a wide range of topics that emphasize the 
ethical and effective uses of information technology within human 
services education and practice including innovative applications, 
software and hardware developments, pilot or research projects, tech-
nology and social justice, anti-oppression, and equity issues. The 
keynote speaker will be Steve Downs, Director, Technology Opportuni-
ties Program, National Telecommunications and Information Administra-
tion, U.S. Department of Commerce (see web site for details).

HUSITA is an international association of information technology in-
novators in the human services who are dedicated to promoting the 
ethical and effective use of IT to better serve humanity (see
