RFI: Use of prophylactic ARVs in pregnant women

Dear colleagues,

If given a choice would you put women en masse on AZT or Nevirapine 
prophylaxis in pregnancy without bothering about their sero-status?
What would be the advantages and what would be the disadvantages? Is 
it ethical and medically correct?
