Global Development Network Awards: Call for Papers and Proposals
----------------------------------------------------------------

The Global Development Network is soliciting research papers and pro-
posals in the area of HIV/AIDS and Delivery of Health Services for 
its Annual Awards Competition. Abstracts are now being accepted. 
Prizes of US$ 10,000 and US$ 5,000 will be awarded for the best re-
search papers; full submissions are due by August 31. A single prize 
of US$ 125,000 will be awarded for the best research proposal; full 
submissions for proposals are due by August 15. Competition finalists 
will present their papers at GDN's third annual Development Confer-
ence in Rio de Janeiro in December. The Awards Competition is de-
signed to support and foster world-class research by individuals and
