Title: Information Education and Communication Specialist
Location: Dire Dawa, Ethiopia


Save The Children, a US and international relief and development
agency, seeks an IEC Specialist who will assist in evaluating the ex-
isting Behavior Change/Community (BCC) strategies and materials em-
ployed by both the public sector and NGOs operating in the program
area. S/he will develop BCC strategies targeting the high-risk groups
and behaviours identified through the program. This person will also
coordinate the development and field-testing of manuals that will as-
sist the implementation of these activities, expansion of BCC target-
ing HIV/AIDS/STIs into other areas by the public or private sector,
or community groups.

-Qualifications: Masters Degree in Public Health and/or a minimum of
5 years of
  equivalent work
-Experience in development of BCC materials,
-Experience in participatory research methodology;
-Experience in developing and conducting training is required.
-Strong computer and statistical analytical skills a plus.
-Proficiency in Amharic, Somali, Afar or French language is also pre-
ferred.
