Tanzanian Ministry of Health's AMMP-2 website
---------------------------------------------

Dear Colleagues,

Please take a moment to visit the website of the second phase of the
Tanzanian Ministry of Health's Adult Morbidity and Mortality Project
(AMMP-2) on a relevant page of your site. AMMP is a project of the
Tanzanian Ministry of Health, funded by the UK Department for Inter-
national Development and implemented in partnership with the Univer-
sity of Newcastle upon Tyne.

Website URL for Adult Morbidity and Mortality Project, Tanzania:
http://www.ncl.ac.uk/ammp

The site contains:
* short descriptions of the project's goal, purpose, and activities;
* information on the use and impact of AMMP data on national health
policy and planning in Tanzania;
* click-able maps of demographic surveillance sites supported by
AMMP;
* basic demographic information about these areas;
* references to AMMP publications and reports (many of which can be
downloaded);
* learn about AMMP's contribution to monitoring progress in Tanza-
nia's programs of health sector and local government reform, and the
national poverty reduction strategy;
* view information on our work to assess health outcomes and equity
in Tanzania.

In the future we intend to post a complete set of manuals and tools
for establishing and maintaining sentinel demographic surveillance
for cause specific mortality

I hope you find the site interesting, and that you feel free to make
suggestions on how we can improve it.

Sincerely,

The AMMP and National Sentinel Surveillance Teams
