Vacancy - Consultant on HIV/AIDS Interventions in Emergency Settings

WHO Geneva
The World Health Organization is URGENTLY seeking the services of a
consultant to finalize Guidelines on HIV/AIDS Interventions in Emer-
gency Settings.
Terms of Reference
1. Review the comments received from peer review of the first draft
of the guidelines and incorporate them into a second draft document.
The second draft will include annexes covering operational aspects
of interventions referred to in the main document.
2. Obtain the technical input of relevant WHO technical departments,
the inter-agency working group on HIV/AIDS in complex situations,
other UN Agencies, NGOs and Collaborating Centres to the second draft
document.
3. Produce a final document after taking into account comments obtained
in response to the second draft of the document.
Qualifications and Experience
The incumbent must have good English writing skills, be able to work with
little supervision and be highly knowledgeable in both HIV/AIDS and
complex settings. Experience in complex emergency settings would be a
definite advantage. The incumbent will also be assessed on the basis of
a piece of written work that they have individually authored.
Duration of work
The consultancy will cover a period of 30 working days.
