Vacancies: Parirenyatwa Group Hospital - Harare

The Parirenyatwa group of Hospitals is a referral Centre providing
quaternary level care and comprehensive care with 1212 beds. It serv-
es the population including all referrals from the whole country and
the SADC region.
The group of hospitals is made up of the main complex with all wards
and theatre, a maternity hospital, an eye unit, a psychiatric ward,
radiotherapy Centre and an orthopaedic Centre. In addition to this,
the hospital houses a dental unit a primary health care clinic, fam-
ily planning, school of radiotherapy, a rehabilitation department the
epilepsy foundation and the diabetic association offices.
To help run this extensive group of hospitals two important positions
are required: Director Clinical Services and Hospital Chief Executive.
1. Director Clinical Services
In this position, the applicant will be responsible for the provision
of medical management and advice to the chief executive and the hos-
pital board. The position will involve contribution to policy formu-
lation have automatic membership to the Hospital Management team.
Requirements:
- Must be consultant/specialist in the medical field;
- Must be on the specialist register of the Health Professions Coun-
cil of Zimbabwe;
- Extensive management in an administrative/managerial position in
the medical clinical area. Attendance/participation in managerial
development is an advantage.
2. The Hospital Chief Executive
The incumbent will be expected to provide leadership and vision while
developing a clear management style and culture for the group. In ad-
dition to this the incumbent must ensure active and positive partici-
pation of clinicians in the in the management and leadership for the
group of hospitals.
