The current contributions of the "AIDS-Orphans Whitepaper" are avail-
able at:

The deadline to send a contribution has been extended to end of March
2002 in order to allow a broad diversity of articles on all the as-
pects, within the framework of which the general public could bring
its assistance to the AIDS-orphans: (e.g. relief, essential drugs,
quality and price of medicines and generic drugs, human rights, legal
assistance, supporting the role of indigenous infra-structures for
preventing exclusion, drug, rape, violence and educational drop-outs,
promoting primary- and higher-education, translation into native lan-
guages, access to multi-lingual education material, development of
library resources, research literacy, distributing online and satel-
lite equipment based on low-cost or second-hand computers and solar
panels, encouraging and financing access to lands, gardens and hous-
ing for disinherited children, rights of street children, retirement
scheme for elderly people caring for AIDS-Orphans, water and sanita-
tion, protection of indigenous natural resources derived from plants
as well as wild-life, role of natural resources as alternate source
of revenues for AIDS-Orphans, protecting the cultural heritage of
AIDS-Orphans, situation of the rights of nomads with regards to the
Aids-Orphans crisis, etc.).
