tique of submitted abstracts and the availability of funds. Priority
will be given to scientists under the age of 35 from Africa, and ma-
laria-endemic countries in Asia, Latin America and the Caribbean. A
sponsored participant must be a presenting author of an accepted ab-
stract (oral or poster).

If you are applying for sponsorship through MIM, submit your abstract
by May 1, 2002. Do not register or submit a registration fee prior to
August 1, 2002. Sponsored participants will be contacted between June
