Pan-African Youth Conference on HIV/AIDS in Africa

The key aim of the conference is to provide the young people with an 
international and Pan-African platform to question and share past ex-
periences and examine innovative ideas on the most critical issues 
relating to the origin, prevention, treatment, care and cure of 
HIV/AIDS.

The conference is being organised by the Young Africans Welfare Asso-
ciation in conjunction with other concerned organisations.

Conference Objectives:

* Search for the origin of HIV/AIDS through information and experi-
  ences sharing and distribute relevant information to various and 
  relevant organizations for action;
* Share information and experiences and innovative ideas in HIV/AIDS 
  prevention, education, treatment and care services, with a strong re-
  flection on Africa?s peculiar needs;
* Lobby for the creation of a Youth and HIV/AIDS organ within the Af-
  rican Union to: 
  - Declare HIV/AIDS a continental disaster for increased attention and 
  - Increase attention on various youth needs in Africa.

The overall working language of the conference is English. However, 
interpretations in French, Arabic and Portuguese will be provided. 
All registrations must be submitted before June 30, 2002.
