RFI: Involvement in health project

I am hoping someone on this newsgroup can help. I am a registered 
nurse with a Master's in Public Health. I live in the United States 
and am very interested in working in Africa on a research or clinical 
health project (especially interested in HIV/STD's). I know many peo-
ple on this newsgroup are involved in different health projects in 
Africa. If you have any suggestions for how to find a position on 
some type of health project in Africa please get in touch with me. 

Many organizations ask for 5+ years experience in international 
health. How do you get your foot in the door?
