Food insecurity and HIV/AIDS - a collective failure? (2)

Dear Friends,

I am posting this to KAIPPG/Kenya and our own volunteer, Terry 
Rosenlund, who has been to KK and seen our work on nutrition for 
whole communities and PWAS (or people affected by HIV/AIDS, espe-
cially women and children) in particular, in the hopes that they 
might respond and that others will add their voices to this vital is-
sue. I will also add a few words shortly, as I have seen this issue 
raised on other forums, too, and want to pass along what I know as 
well. Hope to hear from more folks about their own programs and ideas 
on this issue, as it is another area in which we can work together. I 
hope we will hear in particular from Stacia Nordin, a nutritionist 
with the Peace Corps in Malawi, who is doing a lot of work experi-
menting with local foods and an indigenous solution, as are we at 
KAIPPG.
