Will NEPAD lift Africa from Poverty to Health?

Dear All,

As the heads of G-8 countries meet in Kananaskis, Alta, Canada June 
26 - 28, 2002 to approve an Africa Action Plan based on the New Part-
nership for Africa's Development Initiative (NEPAD), Africa's health 
scholars, intelligentsia and lay public at large may do well to un-
dertake a reality check of the Initiative for purposes of assessing 
if it will truly lift Africa up from Poverty to health.
