Hello Ron, 

this time in your calculations you forget that not every time someone 
has unprotected intercourse, STIs or HIV get transmitted, even if one 
of the partners is infected. It still needs STATISTICALLY several 
hundred unprotected intercourses to transmit HIV, less for other STI. 
Of course it can happen this one time a condom breaks, but on aver-
age, it takes a lot of condom breakages for transmission to happen, 
and your statistical prostitute will not be infected after an average 
of 2 weeks. So, as so many other preventive measures in life, no 100% 
guarantee, but MUCH better than nothing!
