Lets end "Competitions" and start doing some real work (6)
----------------------------------------------------------

Peter,

I agree with your comments wholeheartedly. A lot of North-South ideas
have been a disaster in that some of them you cannot see a trace of
what was done at the end of it all. Flying a few Africans to Europe
for funfare is not tackling the issue of HIV/AIDS.

The problem with HIV/AIDS today is not much in information or igno-
rance. I have worked in remote areas of my home country and people
are aware of HIV/AIDS, they even have differential diagnosis for it.
The issue is to address the problem of access to health care, avail-
ability of drugs, creating jobs so that you do have idled minds, etc.
and not competition. People are taking to the streets for prostitu-
tion because they have no food as they may have no seeds to plant. So
let's address issues of Africa in a positive way.

Thank You,

Peter Songolo
