Let's end "Competitions" and start doing some real work (11)
------------------------------------------------------------

Dear all,

I would like to add my voice to the ongoing debate. I agree with all
the previous contributors, taking into account the magnitude of the
HIV/AIDS problem and the limited resources that are available, we
have to be very careful in the choice of activities. Let us remember
that the number of effective prevention and control interventions im-
plemented equals the number of lives saved. In this instance, it is
difficult to see how this competition will translate into number of
lives saved vis a vis the amount of resources that will be employed.

I agree with Peter Burgess, let us use the scarce resources for the
benefit of the majority unless of course there are details that we do
not have in which case I request the organizers to enlighten us on
this aspect.
