The National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control
(NAFDAC) has uncovered a hideout for fake products manufacturers in-
side the Mammy Market of the Ojo Military Barracks in Lagos.

In a raid carried out by officials of the agency with the support and
protection of military authorities in the barracks, NAFDAC discovered
several lock-up shops where fake wines; insecticides; pharmaceutical
products; toilet roll; sanitary pads and cosmetic products were being
adulterated and packaged for the consumption of the public.

About 86 shops were discovered as bases by the adulterators, who were
said to be hiding behind the security cover provided by the barracks
setting.
