Children's Rights Equality Health Check

This event has been organised to mark the 13th anniversary of the 
Convention on the Rights of the Child. More than 100 African chil-
dren, of different nationalities, aged between 10 and 18, will dis-
cuss issues surrounding the attainment of their inalienable rights as 
Africans and that of their peer group in Africa.

During the events plenary discussion and open forum children will 
have the opportunity to ask questions from the Chairman of Amnesty 
International Children's Rights Campaign and some African Heads of 
Diplomatic Missions, notably the Nigerian and Namibian High Commis-
sioners respectively.

Selected on the basis of their performance and contribution to the 
theme of the Conference, 18 of the participants will be appointed as 
Children Ambassadors and presented the ACA prestigious Children's 
Rights Advocate (CRA) Certificates at the end of the Conference.
