New book: Malaria and AIDS

I am happy to announce the following publication:

Flessa, Steffen (2002): Malaria und AIDS. Gesundheitsökonomische Ana-
lysen auf Grundlage von Disease Dynamics Modellen. Reihe Interna-
tional Public Health. Verlag Hans Jacobs. 152 Seiten

The book discusses in brief a methodology of simulating epidemiologi-
cal processes called "disease dynamics". A detailed case study on Ma-
laria and a case study on AIDS in Eastern Africa follows. It is the 
objective of this book not only to support decision-makers in the 
field of Malaria and AIDS, but to proof that disease dynamics models 
are most suited to simulate epidemiological processes. Thus, economic 
analyses can be based on facts instead of guesses.
