Boston University Department of International Health seeks candidates
for Faculty Position(s)
The Department of International Health (DIH) at the Boston University
School of Public Health (BUSPH) has openings for one or more new fac-
ulty member(s) at the Associate or Full Professor level with interest
and experience in one or more of the following: pharmaceuticals, com-
plex humanitarian emergency management, maternal and child health or
nutrition. Candidates who are willing to and interested in working in
areas outside their primary field of interest are encouraged to ap-
ply.
A successful candidate should be able to contribute to a wide range
of DIH activities and to the BUSPH overall. The position will involve
teaching, consulting and research. The exact mix will be adjusted
based on the skills and interests of the candidate and the needs of
the department.
Candidates should have:
* A doctoral degree in public health, medicine or a related field.
* A demonstrated ability to design, implement and teach a course or
training program.
* Research interests and expertise across a range of public health
issues.
* A minimum of 5 years relevant work experience in lower income coun-
tries.
* An ability and desire to work collaboratively with a multidiscipli-
nary group of colleagues.
* 2 or more years living full-time in a lower income country is very
desirable.
* Program management experience is desirable.
* Working knowledge of another language is desirable.
