DevMedicine 1st Annual Scientific Conference (DMASC 1) is receiving
tremendous response from all corners of the world. Presentations from
the medical fraternity, the telecommunications professionals and in-
formation technology leaders are expected. The conference is address-
ing ways and means to augment medical education in developing coun-
tries and emerging economies using modern methods of communication.

This conference which is expecting some 3,500 visitors from the three
major industries is a wonderful opportunity for professional, busi-
ness and academic communities globally to meet together and exchange
views on the best way forward for optimizing information and communi-
cation technology for medical education. There will be opportunity
for platform presentations, poster presentation and product exhibi-
tion.

You can make a platform or poster presentation or both. There will
also be opportunity for product display and exhibition at the confer-
ence village.

HOW TO POST YOUR PRESENTATION ONLINE

You can post the abstract on your presentation online by following
the steps provided below. Please indicate clearly whether your pres-
entation will be poster or platform. Please note that the official
conference language will be English. Presenters from non-english
speaking communities are also encouraged to present their work. How-
ever, the work will be translated into English for final publishing
in the DMASC 1 proceedings. All posters must be in English. If you
need help with language please notify us by email
<dmasc@devmedicine.com> as soon as possible, preferably before May 1
2003, so that we can arrange for your language support.

PLEASE READ INSTRUCTIONS BELOW CAREFULLY BEFORE YOU PROCEED TO POST
YOUR PRESENTATION

SECTION A: HOW TO POST A PRESENTATION

To post your presentation online go to http://www.devmedicine.com and
click on "How to post your presentation online" in the announcement
box.

You will need to be registered to post presentations on this forum.
Registration for posting your presentation is free. You will be
prompted to register when you get to the title page of your presenta-
tion.

Please note that registration to post your presentation is not
equivalent to conference registration. (Registration for the confer-
ence is done separately.)

To post a presentation, please select the category of your presenta-
tion from the list in section C. Click on the category to select it.
When you click on your category you will see a new page with the name
of your category at the top left corner of the page. On this page
there will be a list of presentations posted by other professionals.
Click on the tab "POST NEW THREAD" that is situated at the top right
corner of your corresponding forum category. Please make sure that
you post your presentation in the correct category for proper cata-
loging.

You are now on ready to write your presentation.

Put the title of the presentation on "SUBJECT" line. You can choose
an "ICON" for your presentation if you wish. This is not a require-
ment.

Write your presentation in the "MESSAGE" box below the icons using
the format detailed in section B below. (IMPORTANT: It is advisable
to edit your presentation on a word processing document such as Mi-
crosoft WORD and then 'cut and paste' it into the message box).
Options: Please select "ATTACH SIGNATURE" to ensure proper credit for
your work paper.

TO SUBMIT:
Caution: To submit your post, make sure to select "POST" and not
PREVIEW in the drop down box at the bottom of the page. Messages sub-
mitted to PREVIEW will not be posted in your category and will BE
LOST.

If you want to PREVIEW your document before posting, please submit to
PREVIEW. But then again, make sure to submit to POST when you are
through with the preview process.

If you have come this far we definitely are doing great and we look
forward to meeting you in Nairobi in December for this landmark
event.
