RFI: Research on Glucose 6 phosphate dehydrogenase deficiency
-------------------------------------------------------------

Good day to you all,

I am trying to write a proposal to investigate the prevalence of glu-
cose 6 phosphate dehydrogenase deficiency in Zimbabwe's population.

I would appreciate any information regarding how one can test for
this enzyme deficiency. We are now using Fansidar as one of first
line drugs against malaria, and it has being known to cause haemo-
lytic anaemia in individuals with this enzyme deficiency.

Any help will be sincerely appreciated.
