Guide to European Population Assistance
---------------------------------------

The fourth edition of the "Guide to European Population Assistance"
has recently been published, giving information on how to access
funding from all major European public budget lines in the field of
sustainable development.

The Guide is a reference work for development organisations and pro-
vides an overview of available public funding from 15 European coun-
tries and the European Community (amounting to over Euro 33 billion
of funds available for development work, including SRH, HIV/AIDS
etc.). The Guide focuses on budget lines for sustainable development,
and specifically on:
* sexual and reproductive health,
* family planning,
* HIV/AIDS, and
* population.

The Guide has been compiled with the support of leading European gov-
ernmental and non-governmental Population and Family Planning Insti-
tutions and is designed to allow NGOs to:
* obtain a practical overview of available grants, procedures, guide-
lines, deadlines, important addresses and much more;
* improve the quality of proposals;
* get the latest information on ODA levels and spending trends with
regard to population assistance, sexual and reproductive health and
sustainable development.
