Children Affected by AIDS (2)
-----------------------------
Dear Mr. Kiwanuka Ssemakula,
- yes, it is a good idea. Just for your information, the US govern-
ment has relatively large food aid programs for school feeding (Title
II PL480 food) -- check the http://foodaidmanagement.org site or the
US Government Agency for International Development Food For Peace
site or the US Department of Agriculture Food for Education site.
Catholic Relief Services (for whom I used to work) had the largest
school feeding programs in Africa, and as long as the quality of the
education was good, the food was a good incentive and reward, par-
ticularly for keeping girls in school.
Best wishes!
