New OneWorld AIDS Radio campaign
--------------------------------
Dear Friends,
Hello and thought some of you would be interested in this campaign. I
believe that you have to be a member of OneWorld AIDS Radio, but I
just signed up and the process is easy. The theme is "Youth and
AIDS", and is not limited to radio content (though that will be
greatly appreciated, for obvious reasons, haha!), but also includes
pamphlets and other materials, and relevant events. Please go to the
AIDS Radio site to sign up, and then you can take part in the cam-
paign (for info, please e-mail the address below...thanks!). The URL
is http://www.aidsradio.oneworld.net .
With many thanks and all best wishes,
Janet Feldman

Dear OneWorld AIDS Radio member,
Greetings from OneWorld AIDS Radio! Thank you for using our website -
I hope it has been a useful tool in getting the HIV/AIDS message
across to your audiences so far.
As you may have read in this month's newsletter, we now have a new
campaign to focus on. This is "Youth and AIDS". Timed to coincide
with International Youth Day on 12th August, it aims to highlight the
issues relevant to young people and HIV/AIDS, and what is being done
to both creating awareness of these issues as well as fighting the
epidemic among this most vulnerable group of society (see the "Cam-
paigns" section of the AIDS Radio website for more details).
As your organisation is involved in HIV/AIDS issues, I wonder if you
might be interested in submitting any contributions to this campaign
- most notably radio programming or audio produced in your language,
that deals with young people and AIDS, or even pamphlets, other
awareness material, or relevant events we could highlight in the
"Campaigns" section of the AIDS Radio website. If you haven't done so
already, please note that you can either upload radio material to our
website, or, if this is problematic, send the material on CD format
to us, at the address below.
I would be most grateful if you could get back to me with thoughts on
this as soon as possible.
I look forward to hearing from you shortly!
Many thanks in advance for your contributions.
Warm regards,
Helen Stoddart
