Genital cutting does not eliminate women's sexual sensation...(5)
-----------------------------------------------------------------

I am not quite sure what this finding adds to what is already known
about FGC, and the results might help to advance efforts to prevent
the practice and its associated health risks.

I have some questions though, for our readers: Other speculations,
have there been empirical studies which actually found that the main
reason why people practice FGC is to limit women's sexual pleasure?

Why then are males equally circumcised? I strongly believe that FGC
is practiced essentially to adhere to tradition. Several studies have
confirmed this, including a recent survey by Al-Hussaini (2003) in
which nearly half of the women interviewed indicated that they prac-
tice FGC as part of their tradition.

damage in laboring Egyptian women. MEDICAL PRINCIPLES AND PRACTICE
