New Partnership for African Development (NEPAD) launches website

NEPAD is a pledge by African leaders, based on a common vision and a 
firm and shared conviction, that they have a pressing duty to eradi-
cate poverty and to place their countries, both individually and col-
lectively, on a path of sustainable growth and development, and at 
the same time to participate actively in the world economy and body 
politic. 
 
 
The African Forum on Science and Technology for Development (AFSTD)

has been established by the New Partnership for Africa's Development 
(NEPAD) to promote the application of science and technology for eco-
nomic growth and poverty reduction. Their new website features infor-
mation about the Forum and its initiatives, details of related 
events, and access to the Forum's publications.
