The Practihc Protocol Clinic
----------------------------

* Are you preparing a pragmatic randomised controlled trial pro-
tocol?
* Do you have questions concerning some aspects of the protocol
(structure, design, statistical analysis, funding etc.)?

You can get support from the "Protocol Clinic" of Practihc
(Pragmatic Randomised Trials in Health Care).

Practihc is a 36-month project, ending March 2005. Until that
time we can help you with developing your protocol, through e-
mail mentoring. This support is free.

How do you get support from Practihc?

First prepare a short description of the problem you are tack-
ling and the proposed research you would like to do. Please also
describe the sort of help you would like from the Practihc Pro-
tocol Clinic. Then contact Practihc by sending an e-mail mes-
sage, including the description of the problem and the help you
require, to
mailto:practihc.germany@snafu.de

A suitable mentor among the Practihc partners will be found and
contacted for you. This mentor will then contact you directly to
deal with your questions.

Please note:
After 2005 we will not be able to provide this service unless we
receive further funding. However, by 2005 we will have placed on
our long term website a number of tools and sources of informa-
tion that you will, we hope, find useful in preparing a protocol
for a pragmatic randomised controlled trial.

These tools will comprise an interactive protocol support tool
that gathers all the tools you will need to prepare your proto-
col. These include a library of other protocols; a number of
statistical tools such as a sample size calculator; lists of
funders who have recently supported randomised controlled trials
with a web link to their website; and a list of other resources
needed to help prepare and run a randomised controlled trial.
