General announcement and call for papers
 
Theme: Challenges to the Health Systems in Africa in the Era of 
Globalisation
 
Sub-themes: 
* Emerging and Re-emerging Diseases 
* Traditional Medicine and Practices 
* Neglected Diseases (e.g. Tick-borne Relapsing Fever, Brucello-
  sis, Trichinosis, Plague, etc.) 
* Malaria and other parasitic diseases 
* Health System and Policy Research 
* Disease Surveillance and Health Management Information Systems
 
Abstracts are invited on the above sub-themes. Abstracts not ex-
ceeding 250 words must be submitted electronically by December 
31st 2003. When applicable abstracts should include the objec-
tives, methodology, results and conclusions. They should have the 
surnames and initials of the authors and the presenter's name 
should be underlined.
