Nigeria: Obasanjo declares polio vaccine safe

President Olusegun Obasanjo yesterday allayed fears in some
parts of the country over the polio vaccine.

Speaking at a forum with a group of children in a President Me-
dia Chat to mark this year's International Children's Day for
Broadcasting, President Obasanjo regretted the events which
questioned the safety of the polio vaccines, saying that the
controversy had been resolved.
