On Thursday March 4, in Room 115 GSPH, 12:00-1:00 PM University
of Pittsburgh, the Epic Production of the "Supercourse" will be
presented. You are all welcome to come. Ron, Faina, Mita, Soni,
Akira, Eugene and Abed shine in fun and feisty roles. The pro-
duction of the Supercourse is good and evil locked in a violent
showdown designed to save the world through prevention
You might ask...I am in Cairo... how can I see one of the year?s top
10 lectures? Of course, it will be a lecture on the Supercourse.
Come one, come all to the Supercourse. It will be "The Jewel in
the crown... a triumph of epic story telling".
Next week, we will send you the URL to see "what?s happening"
with the Supercourse. Please come to the GSPH Theatre to see the
live performance.
Nobel Prize winner Baruch Blumberg:
I had the wonderful opportunity to talk with Dr. Blumberg who
received his Nobel prize in the 1976. His lecture is on the web,
and fantastic. The story by which he discovered the Australia
Antigen and the Biology of Hepatitis B is captivating reading.
His lecture is ideal for the Supercourse as it is a wonderful,
captivating story of science that runs through basic research
findings to epidemiology, to vaccination and prevention. What is
most important about it for our mission is that his passion and
love of science and health comes through, which I think is one
of the main things we want to teach the students of the world.
Also, in reading his work he talked about the sharing and dis-
tributing of reagents at NIH. It is most interesting as what was
done with reagents is not that different than what we are doing
with PowerPoint lectures. We hope to have the lecture available
shortly on the Supercourse.
Thank you Dr. Blumberg
Stay tuned for our lecture next week?it is "heartfelt, wise,
suspenseful and funny" as with our Supercourse team it is "full
of excitement and colorful characters".
Best regards from Pittsburgh, we hope you can join us next week
globally to see the thrilling, pulse-pounding and heart racing
Supercourse lecture.
