No ARV roll-out is better than a bad ARV roll-out (13)
------------------------------------------------------
I suppose the greatest good to the greatest number of people
manifests itself in the 600 that die on a daily basis. Just how
much more good can it get than that? And we are NOT raining
abuse on the decision makers just merely questioning the ability
of those who are right now at policy and decision making level
to make the 'correct' choices, your (mis)-interpretation of my
contribution to this forum, A. Odutola is your own, and one is
of course entitled to ones own opinion. However misguided that
may be of course..
Ineffective policy communication is caused by the leadership
usually not listening to the people and also not having the af-
fected parties' interests at heart. But as you all will someday
realize my friends, "Truth shall withstand all investigation.."
and the sad truth is that no one is interested in doing the
right thing. How long have you been trying now to put in place a
system that works with little success? How much longer are you
going to continue to do the very same thing when all one has to
do is make the proper support mechanisms available at each and
every stage of the ailment; with proper ARV treatment we could
be looking at a viable solution with very little drain on exist-
ing resources.
But we mean well and our intentions have always been, IS, and
will always be to empower those PLWHA's (infected & affected)
nothing less and nothing more.. and we will do this! Categoriz-
ing us as stereotypes is not the solution, and the "J" may quite
well stand for "Justice" my friend. I will be in Lusaka, Zambia
from the 18th; so it is possible we may meet somewhere on the
continent if god so wills. Maybe we could share thoughts and ex-
periences.
Peace and the loving kindness,
