Bangkok youth force training opportunities - IAC Bangkok

Advocacy and Youth Leadership Activities for the International
AIDS Conference 2004

The Bangkok YouthForce is an international network of youth ac-
tivists and adult allies working to raise the awareness and
visibility of youth and youth issues around HIV/AIDS. We are a
highly collaborative network bringing together many of the lead-
ing organizations working on youth-related issues worldwide, in-
cluding: YouthNet, Advocates For Youth, Save The Children, PATH,
MTV, PSI/YouthAIDS, SponsorKIDS Charities, UNAIDS (for IATT),
Student Global AIDS Campaign, Thai Youth AIDS Prevention Project
(TYAP), Youth Against AIDS, aids2004youth group, and Deloitte
Touche Tohmatsu.

For the upcoming International AIDS Conference in Bangkok, the
YouthForce is organizing many activities for youth, with an em-
phasis on empowering youth with the information, skills, and
confidence they need to effectively participate. We also aim to
raise the awareness and visibility of youth and youth issues
around HIV/AIDS by advocating our central message, "More Youth
Voices = Fewer HIV Infections". Our activities include the Pre-
Conference Training Workshop, Rally-Reception, Networking Ses-
sions, YouthForce Newsletter, and Visibility Campaign.

If you are already planning to attend the Conference and you
would like to be part of the YouthForce, please let us know. If
you need scholarship assistance to attend, we are currently ac-
cepting scholarship applications.
