Hi Jawad,

This is not news unless Bart Knols and his colleagues have im-
proved the competitiveness of the sterile males. The technique
has been tested before in Muheza, Tanzania (by Ludvick Gomuwlski
in early 1984-85??). I wish they could just donate that money to
poor African children and pregnant women to be used to buy ITNs.
It could also have been put to better use by educating communi-
ties on behaviour change in relation to malaria prevention and
control using simple technology, which is sustainable.
