Church Leaders to Mobilize against HIV/AIDS...(3)
-------------------------------------------------
Dear Karrie Carnes and others,
Greetings from Dar es Salaam, Tanzania!
In my own opinion, I think religious institutions may work for
betterment of our societies, but it should be done with care not
to ruin the already achievement in the area. In essence church
leaders should take up a position and advances what they believe
and leave alone what others believes.
Some denomination have reached a point of accepting condom use
for couples where one is infected, yet others still say it is a
sin..... All I am saying is that harmonization and quality con-
trol is crucial at this point. Suffice to say that the role of
religious institutions is vital but care is paramount.
In the media for example one denomination over the last week was
recommending banning of bars, condoms, wearing tight and short
wear, etc. I think these are the things that needs harmonization
among them selves...
Any way these are my humble sharings....
Regards,
Peter
