Riz Khan at the IAC 2004 Leadership Program
-------------------------------------------
Bill Roedy, President of MTV International Networks and Riz
Khan, top CNN reporter to moderate unique Leadership Sessions at
the IAC 2004 Leadership Program, XV International AIDS Confer-
ence 2004
How can you shape the battle with HIV/AIDS?
Ask questions.
At this year?s 15th International AIDS Conference in Bangkok,
the new Leadership Program is giving you the opportunity to ask
your questions about why the epidemic has continued to spread.
Bill Roedy of MTV International Networks and Riz Khan of CNN
will moderate two ground-breaking sessions that aim to bring to-
gether influential world figures such as Zackie Achmat (Chair-
person, Treatment Action Campaign, South Africa), Graca Machel
(Patron of The Leadership Program and International Women?s
Leader), and Richard Gere (Founder, The Gere Foundation, U.S.A).
Can Leadership change the nature of our struggle with HIV/AIDS?
Find out by attending the Leadership Program?s unique, interac-
tive sessions:
* ?Meet the Leaders Donors? on Monday, July 12th will bring
together ministers and representatives from various donor coun-
tries to address the issues of how finance and funding affect
the HIV/AIDS struggle.
* ?Meet the Leaders Cross Sectors? on Monday July 12th and
Wednesday, July 14th, will address the need for unified leader-
ship across science, community, donor, policy, media, religion,
entertainment and political sectors.
During each session delegates will have the opportunity to ask
questions during the session and receive instant answers from
the world leaders in attendance, as well as interact with other
delegates.
Additionally, over 30 sessions (non-abstract, plenary, and fo-
rums) will focus AIDS leadership from different aspects into a
global response. Difficult issues such as treatment access, and
responsible coordination between donors and countries will be
discussed, and their solutions examined.
Significantly strengthened global leadership and renewed commit-
ments are the goals of the Leadership Program. Won?t you join us
during the conference and be a part of the changing face of AIDS
leadership?
Mail your questions to:
mailto:leadership@aidsthai2004.org
Each question will be read and considered for use in the open-
house forum sessions, ?Meet the Leaders? on Monday, July 12th,
and Wednesday, July 14th at the International AIDS Conference in
Bangkok, Thailand.
