Celebrity Raises Awareness and Funds on her Southeast Asian Travels
-------------------------------------------------------------------

Hollywood actress and AIDS activist Ashley Judd traveled to
Southeast Asia for two weeks in July to visit Population Ser-
vices International (PSI) HIV prevention programs in Cambodia
and Thailand. Judd's tour took her from brothels to clinics,
meetings with people living HIV, sex workers and former inject-
ing drug users, and from an appointment with Thai Prime Minister
to the 2004 International AIDS Conference in Bangkok, where she
advocated for global attention to the epidemic, hosted a satel-
lite session and encouraged support from wide circles of corpo-
rations and organizations.

A multimedia diary of her Asia tour is available online, de-
scribing her personal encounters and bearing witness for the
many who have no voice. As Global Ambassador for PSI's YouthAIDS
program, Judd lobbies for increased awareness, education and fi-
nancial attention for HIV/AIDS and PSI prevention programs.
