Here is what a nurse I know from Africa now working in the UK is
saying: "I am hearing this debate on us going to England;
thanks, but then they (African countries) pay us peanuts. Get me
a good JOB with some NGO and I will be out of here in two min-
utes. As long as I get paid no less than 4-5 thousand US$ that's
fine. For that much I can coordinate any project from Timbuctoo
to back of beyond.... But my kids stay put, Africa no good at
the moment".
